In Yellowstone National Park I saw only a few bison, most of the bison sitings I had while on the road were at Custer State Park in South Dakota. However, few bison sitings were more striking than this one. This lone bison was hanging out in front of the sulfur mud pits, a few of his brethren were nearby. The contrast between the barren landscape and the majestic buffalo made for a great moment.

as spotted in Rocky Mountain National Park, this crow posed for my shooting. To create and to cement the silhouette effect, I upped the contrast a little.
